Who's the boss?

Another gem form the back seat:

One day Samantha and Scotty were having a discussion about the hierarchy of bosses within our family.

"If Mom and Dad aren't home, then Sandy is the boss."

"If Sandy's not home, Stacy's the boss."

So Samantha makes the next logical step, "If Stacy's not home, then I'm the boss. Scotty you are only the boss of the animals."  (Now scottys love of animals is starting to make sense.)

Scotty got his feelings back and said, "oh yeah, well when I get married and my wife leaves, I will be the boss."  Best. Comeback. Ever.

God's Poles

Scotty and Samantha were little when Robert joined our family.  And one Friday during Lent, mom and I had the kids (aka Samantha and Scotty) in the backseat and we were headed to McDonald's to get a hamburger for Robert and fish sandwiches for everyone else.  And Scotty was mad, "Why does Robert get a hamburger and I have to get a fish sandwich?"

And before we could answer Samantha piped up and said, "Duh, Scotty, Robert is a baptism and baptisms don't believe in God's poles."

After we laughed we asked Samantha what gods poles were, she said, "You know ... god's poles."

So funny!
