Trip to Paragould

So we had a great idea for a "Sister Trip" to go to Daniel and Tommy's wedding.  Fortunately Samantha and Justin are moving back from Seguin, but unfortunately, the weekend they were moving was the same weekend as the wedding, so she didn't get to go.  This was a crazy, quick trip because the wedding was the same weekend as Father's Day.

So Stacy, Chelsea, and I packed up around 7pm on Friday and headed out.  First stop: gas, second stop: Chick-fil-a!  Next stop New Boston!  That might be a record for me in the car. Stacy and Chelsea drove us to Little Rock.

Stacy had gotten us a room at the Crown Plaza in Little Rock.  She called on Friday to verify our room, and they said they had a room for us, but had us in a room with a king size bed instead of two beds ... but Stacy offered to sleep on the pull-out couch.  So we make it to the Crown Plaza, and send Stacy in while we are looking for a parking spot ... and  she calls ... they gave our room away ... did I mention it was about 1am at this point?  They send us to another hotel "on them."

We show up at the place they sent us ... Baptist Medical Plaza ... not equivalent to the Crown Plaza ... more like Motel 6.  And the lady at the desk looked shocked to see us.  Then, come to find out, she is Stacy's twin.  Her name was Stacey (notice that it is spelled a little differently, it helps us tell them apart) and her middle name was almost Baugh ...  We get to our room, finally sleep, and when Stacy woke she saw a blue glow from the window and then Chelsea's face and had NO IDEA where she was.

As we each woke we just stayed in bed (a rare treat for me a Stacy). When we finally got up and moving we headed out for a card, gift and lunch ... at Chick-fil-a.  Then I drove to Paragould which felt like the longest leg of the trip.

Who would have thought you could find this card at a Target in  Arkansas?

We found the theater, and talked to Mark & Joy for a while before getting a peek at the stage!! What an amazing job on the backdrop!

Then, of course, a selfie out front with the marquee.

A wedding at a theater ... what an amazing idea!! The seats are already there and comfy.  You are inside, so no worries about the weather.  A stage (Stacy was jealous about that)!  Lighting was great, Audio was great, and then to make it even better - the food & reception was set up behind the curtain! What?  Yep, so cool.  Yummy food and drinks made it even better.

A guest asked us who we knew and we said we were Daniel's cousins, and then he continued to talk to us for 15 minutes about John and Larry  ... mostly Larry.  When he left we all asked one another, "Who is Larry?"

Then we stopped at the Kum  & Go to change and head home.

On the way home Stacy and Chelsea drove us all the way back (thanks to a Starbuck's double shot).  And we met a couple of Jack Wagon's.
